Around St John’s Eve and the summer solstice, museums throughout Hungary open in the dark hours, so visitors experience a different side than usual. Past events have included jumping fires, watching princely puppets in castles, seeing the oldest surviving Hungarian language bible, trying your hand at crafts or archery and more – often with a glass of Tokaji wine.
