On the Saturday evening closest to midsummer - 24th June this year - the museums in Hungary spring to life. This year, to mark the start of the Incredible Edible Tokaj Wine Region most of the museums are joining around the edible theme - herb games and tea tasting, cakes made by prisoners.

The town will be filled with chocolate and music lovers for a chocolate-filled frenzy from Friday night to Sunday afternoon. A true celebration of chocolate here in the Hungarian capital of “csokoláde” with music, sports, tastings, market, fairy-tale chocolate sculptures, chocolate adventure park. This is one of the biggest festivals in the region and draws thousands! Many performances plus plenty of concerts in three days including headline Hungarian rock legends.
The celebrations will be held at the World Heritage site, the Kőporosi Cellar Row, in the cute village of Hercegkút - and you can be sure of a good local party. Plenty of interesting foods to go with good wines. Various wineries will be opening their cellar doors so you can taste their wines and take a peak at the amazing cellars from the inside. A great opportunity to explore Hungary's answer to the Shire ("Hobbitland")!
The Street Music Competition (audience and jury both vote) set up a couple of years ago is attracting a crowd - of players and listeners. Also with gastronomy, artisan craft market and, naturally, Tokaji wine tastings too. Performers from many countries! Interesting instruments, unusual music and styles, all promise an exciting event - Go accoustic!
