A weekend of wine, enchantment and friendship in a sparkling mood! Why witchy weekend? Historical sources tell us it was in Tarcal where, in 1100, the Hungarian king Coloman the Learned declared a law prohibiting the persecution of strigae – vampires or mares – because they “do not exist”.
This family-friendly fun weekend is based around folk culture, womanhood and, naturally, wine. Events will be published soon. And here are just some of the venues: 6 Puttonyos Wine Villge, Reformed church, synagogue, permaculture-inspired (too) Terrapolis Garden and Table) and wineries Basilicus Borkultúra Központ, Degenfeld Castle Hotel and Winery, Dorogi Testvérek, Kern, Kikelet, Majoros Birtok, Matyisák-Vízkeleti Borászat, Myrtus, Pataky Borporta, Tokajicum Borház, the former Royal Estate Centre and cellar.
Starts with opening toast and decorating the May Pole in the Aréna former stone quarry and see the first day of the Land Art project. A selection of wine dinners, Pezsgő breakfasts, Degenfeld’s secrets of organic wine and a cake competition.
