The region’s first winter running race! And it’s named after Fülöp, that’s Philip to an English ear, the stork that no longer migrates. The wonderful story goes that one year he did not leave the village of Bodrogkeresztúr by the Bodrog to fly with his relatives and compatriots to warmer climes. Much to the surprise, and of course, delight of locals, he survived the winter and this has been his 10th winter here. Incredible! What a choice for a “migratory” bird!

So this running race is named in his honour.
Distance about 5 km up and around the village
