Mád – the village is being called the capital of Furmint by many Hungarian and international wine experts. And it certainly has serious achievements in the 21st century to boast of. And it will participate in the Furmint February events with a day of talks and tastings.

The programme:

16:00 Education Centre (Oktatási Központ) – Talks
› Presentation of geological research results – Eszterházy Károly University
› Results of barrel-aging Furmint experiements – Kádár Hungary Kft.
› Biomit technology in a bottle – Károly Bandi

17:30-22:00 Tasting – Aszú House (Aszúház)
Taste wines by Szepsy, Szent Tamás, Holdvölgy, Gizella Pince Tokaj, Lenkey, Barta, Royal Tokaj, Pelle, Zsirai, Demetervin, Szarka, Anna Birtok, Ferdinánd, Bihari.

Plus a 3-course street-food experience created by Gábor Horváth, chef of the Gusteau Restaurant in Mád chosen as the restaurant of the year by Gault & Millau.
