The Budapest Wine Festival has drawn tens of thousands of people to Buda castle for the past 25 years! A celebration of wine with hundreds of winemakers presenting their wines. Most come from around Hungary, some from much further. the first day is billed as more for trade, but even if you are not a wine expert, with so many wines to taste, you will have enjoyed many wine experiences at the end of a couple of days! And it’s a great way to travel around the 22 wine regions in Hungary.

A word about the wonderful venue – up in the Buda Castle District, it’s the perfect place to get a bird’s eye view of the stunning city of Budapest. And a good reason to take the funicular railway to the top of Castle Hill.
