The 8th Day of Open Cellars gives you the chance to visit local winemakers and taste their wines as well as local food specialties in the villages of Malá Tŕňa, Veľká Tŕňa and Viničky, Slovakia. And, as it is always better to drink and not drive, a free shuttle is available for the visitors to ensure the transport between the villages of Slovak Tokaj.

9 am – Wine tastings begin in the cellars of 6 main producers of Tokaji wine. The tastings will last until 7 pm and will take place in the villages of Malá Tŕňa, Veľká Tŕňa and Viničky.
10 am – Tasting of Tokaji wines that are registered to the international wine competition TOKAJ 2015 together with student exhibition and cultural event within the premises of the Viticulture School in the village of Viničky.
9 am to 7 pm – The Day of Craftmanship – Local craftsmen present their work in multiple workshops in the village of Malá Tŕňa.
6 pm to 9 pm – Grand opening of a new tourist attraction – a barrel-shaped sightseeing tower overlooking the Tokaj wineyards. The tower is located on the road between Malá Tŕňa and Černochov.

The number of tickets is limited to 800.
Entry: 20 EUR
The entry fee includes 5 EUR for purchasing food and wine at any winery that participates in the event.
