Tokaj Wine Region artists – in Sárospatak

,
First of all an apology for not mentioning everyone. my sincere apologies.
We are priviliged that several incredible down-to-earth and head in the clouds loving artists live and work among us in Sárospatak and the wider region – many of them members of the group Patak csoport. Active in their social consciencsce and community building around performances and exhibition openings in Sárospatak over the last 20, 30, 40, 50 years. Also two enormous murals, wall art on a huge, brave scale one a nursery, one on a block residential flats in the town centre.
Heart-led visionary artist, singer, musician, poet, performer, actor, filmmaker, director, teacher, visionary Laca FeLugossy, art film club leader in Sárospatak Cinema
István Stark artist and educator explores the heart, landart, monumental sculpture of Royal Seats and more
József Csetneki, artist and art educator of generations in and around Sárospatak for decades selecting natural arts educators in the teams, even setting up art and alternative nursery school
István Fazekas Balogh
Irén Molnár teacher and stunning oil painter of local scenes with such movemnet in the forms she protrays bringing them vividly into life.
Balogh Istvan III who created an exhibition celebrating the region’s natural assets.
Zsuzsa Sándor, connected to nature, brave in her form and colour journeys
László Szentirmai puppeteer, writer and teacher trainer – educator supreme. Supervised Aszú king puppet performance premiered at the Tokaj Wine Congress in November 2022.
These dedicated artists and educators have created a highly artistic sprit in Sárospatak that has infused the whole region for decades. They follow in the footseps of former artist residents of Sárospatak whose art can stil be seen in the Gallery: supreme print maker active in Hungary and US, Kossuth prize winning woodcut artist Domján János and sensitive sculptor János Andrássy Kurta creator of the evocative boy on the horse in front of the gallery.
The town even has a well-loved art publication that is still published regularly: Zempléni Muzsa.

Let me / us know. I apologise for missing them and I’ll gladly add them. Send the links you’d like to include. Let’s cooperate bravely and build strong thriving artistic and visionary community in all respects :)
