The third celebration of St Vincent’s day here in Mád, the blessing of the vines. A full day of events organised by 4 great wineries: Demetervin, Holdvölgy, Szent Tamás and Zsirai. It starts at 9.30 as the Nőtelen house with a pálinka tasting (Mád, Ibolya u. 2.), then guests meet at the top of Szent Tamás dűlő vineyard with László Hornyák, winemaker of Holdvölgy, for the cutting of the Vincent Day vine cane, a treasure hunt, blessing of the vine by the local Catholic and Reformed men of the church and mulled wine in the vineyard.

Then groups of 25 start their winery visits to the first of four cellars where 3 wines await in each. Then, after lunch, the tour continues of the wineries before wine dinner in the Aszú House in the evening.

The Tokaj Women and Wine tasting room and shop will also be open.
