A couple of years ago the top local wineries pulled together to create the stylish Sárospatak wine terrace (Hu: Sárospataki Borterasz) which transforms Makovecz Square (between the Cultural House and Teacher Training College) into with wines, nibbles and concerts throughout the week of the Zemplén Festival. First held in 2014, it quickly became a popular meeting place where locals and visitors alike savour the classy venue and enjoy the informal atmosphere.
