One of the smaller wine festivals in the region, Sárospatak nevertheless celebrates its wine traditions on this weekend, Sárospataki borfesztivál.

Friday 24th
4 pm – Music from local folk favourites Agyagbanda,
4.30 pm – Trend and tradition – folk clothes show
5 pm – ‘One hundred in a circle” – folk dance house with music from local folk favourites Agyagbanda
5.30 pm – cithera music
6 pm – Agyabanda
6.30 pm – Stilt performers for children – Garagulya Gólyalábas Kompánia
8 pm – presentation of Sárospatak wine
8.10 pm – Cimbaliband concert
10 pm – Folk Error concert

Saturday 25th
10 am – wine competition at the cultural house
4 pm – Performance for children
5 pm – Results of the wine competition
5.15 pm – Szikes concert
6.30 pm – Reckless Roses and Pre-Load concert
8 pm – Zanzibar concert
10 pm – Karambol concert

Wines mainly from local winemakers both large and small: Szilágyi winery, Tokaj Crown Estates, Kiss István, Harsányi Winery, Tokaj-Portius, Evinor, Pajzos-Megyer, Aszok, Benke plus foods from Aboros (the great new wine bar in Sárospatak!) and Grill Gödör, the terrace heaven by the castle. Plus artisan cheeses and small market.
