The celebration to warm the Ice Saints – and thus ward off the threat of ice at the splendid Patricius Winery!

Wine and culinary treats along with a variety of soul-refreshing artistic shows and performances throughout Patricius Winery’s Open Day on 14th May 2016, a real highlight!

The Winery, selected by Bor és Piac Magazine as Hungary’s Most Beautiful Wine Estate in 2013, brings one of the most interesting musical pairings to the region for a concert at 4 pm. Thought-provoking thematic wine tastings, the chance to sample carefully chosen wine and food pairings, guided tours of the winery and estate or simply walk in the vineyards and enjoy the spectacular view of Tokaj hill from the terrace. Ice Saints’ Day (HU: Fagyosszentek Engesztelése) is a treat for the whole family.

12:00 – Cellar visit – guided tour of the estate

13:00 – It’s smoking hot! – Tomi Hernyák culinary course tuned to Patricius wines

14:00 – Tokaj-Hegyalja Colourful Magic – exhibition by artist Etelka Vass

14:30 – I arrived from Etyek: Tasting of Hernyák Estate wines

15:15 – The variety of vineyards in Patricius wines – tasting of 2015

16:00 – On stage: Mrs. Columbo – Dorina Galambos and her band

17:00 – Patricius and Organic Presentation of our first organic wine and Dr. Péter Molnár, estate manager, reflections on making organic wines

Tastes on the veranda: Ízes Örömest lekvárium jams, Zemplén cheese – Kisgömböc Cheesemaker, Tokaji Édesség sweets

Gastronomy: Sárga Borház Restaurant

For children: make your own “cork creation”, colour our barrels, have fun, be mischievous!
