Good night Mád! – no, this is no farewell, but a welcome – a wonderful night of music, wine and delicious dishes in exceptional locations. Truly a great opportunity to discover the village of Mád, one of the most charming places in the Tokaj World Heritage region.
The wineries and restaurants open into the Saturday night to share their secrets… Enjoy live concerts, exceptional wines, unique venues, gastronomy and much more! Visit Barta, Budaházy, Demetervin, Holdvölgy, Lenkey, Royal Tokaji, Szent Tamás, Tokaj Classic, Zsirai and more to get a feel for the places producing truly outstanding wines from Furmint, Hárslevelű and the other grapes grown here. Gastro treats include those by Gusteau Culinary Workshop restaurant, Első Mádi Borház, Percze and cheese master Sándor! Concerts include Rost Andrea, Udvaros Dorottya, Ferenczy György és a Rackajam, a Nyughatatlan zenekar, a Kelemen Kabátban, a Lóci játszik, a Kaláka, a Skullcrush vagy a “Sunset Soul”- Kasai Jnofinn, Andrew J, Jász Andris and the Gryllus brothers. Plus vineyard tours, craftsmen and women and even garden cinema on Friday night.
Places to visit include the recently opened Jewish Cultural Information Centre in the former Rabbical school with its Kosher fair, the cellar labyrinth at Holdvölgy, a tasting of Generation Y winemakers (Rémusz Dávid from Erdőbénye, Dorka Homoky from Tállya, Laci Kvaszinger from Olaszliszka, Ádám Varkoly from Szerencs, (the youngest) Tomi Vincze from Sárospatak, and Kata Zsirai from Mád) at noon and later the terrace party at Zsirai.
