- Furmint February – 4th February sees a host of Furmint lovers meet Furmint winemakers! An absolute treat – and unique opportunity to taste perhaps the largest number of Furmints in one place. A fantastic parade from Tokaj to Somló (splendid basalt volcano north of lake Balaton), Eger to Balatonboglár! This tasting is the focus for a host of #FurmintFebruár events around the country in the month. Time to celebrate the grape and explore the terroir through its reflective character!
- VinCe Budapest – 3-5th March is the swanky Central European wine fair organised by VinCe magazine in the Corinthia hotel. Wide selection of wines from around Hungary and further afield!
- Tokaj Grand – as its name suggests is an elegant Tokaj tasting with some 80 wineries out in force as the wine region practically empties of winemakers for the day! Master classes – in the sparkly Corinthia hotel. Like Furmint February, Tokaj Grand is a flagship event of a whole month series: March highlights the fruits of the region’s vineyards and cellars.
- The Budapest Wine Festival – 8-11th September outside up around the palace – incredible views over the city of Budapest which is as stunning at night as it is during the day! The wineries gather in regions at this 5-day extravaganza of wine! The biggest by far, it draw tens of thousands of visitors and hundreds of exhibitors.
